Vicky Bloomer- Director
Vicky discovered a passion for the natural world while studying geography at school. That- along with her father taking her out to do performance evaluations and helping with field trial work in the school holidays- ensured she was interested in where food came from, who grew it and how.
She studied a Bachelor of Applied Science- Natural Resource Management at Massey University. Her first job was at Hawkes Bay Regional Council as a compliance officer before shifting into an advisory role working with consent holders, the irrigation industry, IrrigationNZ and Councils around the country to implement the Water Meter Regulations.
A year with PGG Wrightson Water as the Service Manager for the Hastings branch further increased her understanding of irrigation system design, installation and maintenance. She has spent three years with IrrigationNZ working on the SMART Tools and Tips (Barriers and Benefits to Good Management Practice) project. During her time with IrrigationNZ she began training farmers and the service industry as well as writing submissions for the organisation on Council plans.
She has spent the last 15 years building knowledge and connections and is now ready to help you.
